I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself & share a little on who I am outside of real estate.
I have been a Realtor now for almost twelve years! The time is flying by. I have helped hundreds of people now in my career & I absolutely love that. This is the greatest career on earth.
I often have clients become friends (not that it’s a requirement!) but one thing I absolutely love working with folks is when I get the opportunity to know them beyond a contract. 📝
My names KayLa.
I’m a wife to Jordan. We have been married 13 years come this October. We were married 369 days after we officially started dating. It was one of the instant loves. He’s the greatest human being I believe on the planet & to know him is to simply adore him. ❤️
I’m an animal lover. Not in the “oh I’ll pet that dog” way but in the almost every waking moment of my life is driven by my love of animals. Rescue is our world. We have a large rescue pack of dogs. Think pugs & pomeranians to aussies & malinois with a whole lot of others size wise inbetween. We have cats, chickens, horses, donkeys & goats too. Almost all of the above has been rescued.
My training passion is with my parrots. I cannot & would not ever want to imagine my life without them. I have a diverse flock with a scarlet macaw, blue & gold macaw, two quakers, a double yellow headed Amazon (foster failure 🦜) & a blue headed macaw! I am extremely passionate about permission based training & modern up to date husbandry research & practice.
I’m the daughter to Tina & Brad. My folks are my rocks. They are in every sense of the word my very best friends. They are beyond parents. Nobody on earth can make me laugh like my Mom does or settle my soul with nothing but her existence in my space. My dad is my faith that the sun will rise tomorrow, always bringing a new day & to stand for something or fall for anything. ☀️
I’m the sister to Rande & Aunt to two little fireball girls that bring me joy simply by being. They are all that is beautiful in this world. Full of grit, kindness, wit & more fierce than their momma & I combined… Which should actually scare the world, just a bit. 😆
I believe my work on earth is to live by having a servants heart, I believe I was born to be a voice for the voiceless. I am driven to be a success in this world for many things but for what it enables me to be able to give back is a very large reason.
I’m a homes for heroes agent affiliate! What this means is that I give money back post closing to local heroes I serve! It’s right about 20% of what I make in commission for both selling &/or buying! Since joining in 2022 I have given back $162,284 to 123 different local heroes! I’m proud of that but want to see it continue to grow. I absolutely love giving back to those who serve. If you are in education, health care, emergency services, animal welfare & vet care, the military & linemen - you qualify for this program! 💸
I have served on the board of directors for QC PAWS for nearly a decade now! I have served as the President of the Board the last two years. I can’t believe it’s been that long! It feels like just yesterday I stumbled upon Paws because I went to rescue a cat for a Facebook friend I’d never actually met but her Grandmother died & me, being me, asked if I could do anything to help… Well, taking in her grandmas 32lb tabby cat that was very mad was the ask. I went to the shelter that day & Libby lived the rest of her years with us. I miss that girl everyday. Jordan helped her get weight off by cat exercise on the stairs via laser pointer. I really did marry a good one. 🐾
My ideal vacation is free flying Bonnie somewhere out west. I have fallen in love with giving my birds who can & want to the gift of free flight. Allowing them to use their bodies just as they were intended for will never get old for me. If I can’t be doing that I’ll gladly take a trip just about anywhere to see a good concert! Music is life 🎶 I have left the country to see Brandi Carlile & will many times again.
Oh & my love language is coffee…. And second to that loaded avocado toast with feta, tomato, egg & bacon. ☕️
I love helping people find their perfect to them home. I love helping people achieve their selling goals. I’m here to be an asset to you during some of life’s biggest moments. 🏡
