Seiffert Lumber Company is one of the Quad-Cities oldest companies.

H.O. Seiffert Lumber was established in Davenport, Iowa in 1892 to take advantage of available transportation to distribute to settlement communities in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. Today, Seiffert Lumber Company continues to build on its long, rich tradition in Eastern Iowa and is one of the oldest Quad City companies. Seiffert has been a proud family-owned business rooted in the Quad Cities for over 130 years. 

Originally owned by the Seiffert family, Wilber Burress purchased the business in 1972 and since then was passed down to his son William and is now owned and operated by his son Nathan. Seiffert remains one of the Quad Cities’ leading retailers and distributors of lumber, building supplies and home improvement materials to contractors and homeowners.
